One of the biggest differences between Enphase and a traditional string inverter system is the voltage on your roof.

Traditional solar systems connect all of the panels together in a single string, creating high-voltage DC electricity that can exceed 600 volts while the sun is shining. Even if the mains power is switched off, those cables on the roof can still remain live.

Enphase takes a different approach.

Each solar panel has its own microinverter mounted underneath it, converting the electricity from DC to 230V AC right at the panel. This significantly reduces the amount of high-voltage DC cabling across your roof.

From a safety perspective, that's something we value highly.
